Leading with vision, driving success

Olaf was appointed CEO, DUAL Europe in 2022 and is responsible for leading DUAL Europe’s management and underwriting teams’ growth and profitability, along with driving strategic vision across 12 countries. Olaf is also a member of the DUAL Group Executive Committee. He joined DUAL in 2011 as an underwriter and held several roles, including Head of Underwriting, before he was appointed MD of DUAL Deutschland in 2019. Olaf started his insurance career with DBV (now AXA) in 2002, and also worked at Creditreform responsible for rating companies. Olaf studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne.

With over 40 years’ insurance experience as sales and marketing director for several companies including Prudential Vita, Duomo, Winterthur Assicurazioni and Royal Sun Alliance, Maurizio Ghilosso joined DUAL Italia in 2005. He steered the Italian operation toward a new strategy successfully becoming the largest Italian MGA.

In 2022, he was appointed Executive Chair of DUAL Europe.

With over 25 years’ finance and administration experience, also as Finance and Accounting Director at Fis Fiduciaria Generale, Company of Ernst&Young International Group, Daniela Rubes joined DUAL Italia in 2009 as CFO and HR Director.

In 2022, she was appointed CFO DUAL Europe.

Floris joined DUAL Europe’s leadership team in June 2022 as Commercial Director. He has extensive experience in both the commercial and reinsurance sectors, which plays a key role in making DUAL Europe the specialty market of choice for quality brokers. With over 25 years industry experience, and a proven track record in driving growth, Floris offers a broad level of expertise, having also previously spent 10 years at Allianz, most recently as Managing Director of Global MidCorp. Floris has also held various roles at Swiss Re including Head of CEO Office. Floris started his career at Aon Risk Solutions.

Maria brings a wealth of experience from her diverse career, having worked with brokers such as Aon and Marsh, and global insurers including AIG. Most recently, she held a key role at QBE as Europe Deputy Underwriting Manager and Head of Financial Lines.
She joined DUAL Europe as CUO in September 2024.

Becky joined DUAL in 2019. As COO, Becky looks after the IT, Data, Change, MI and Operations teams including oversight of our Outsourced functions. Prior to joining DUAL, she worked at Hiscox for over 18 years in progressively senior roles including Brexit Business Solutions Lead and CFO/COO of its MGA Business Unit.

Annett has a legal background, and has been working in the insurance industry for more than 25 years. She worked with the Treuhandanstalt-captive broker after the fall of the German wall, negotiating and administering huge frame-contracts, which held all non-privately owned risks in former Eastern Germany. Following this, she took on a Financial Lines underwriting role with a FL-MGA in Cologne where she worked for 6 years, then led a Unit with Zurich Insurances in Cologne and Frankfurt for 6 years. Annett joined DUAL in 2012 as head of claims for DUAL Deutschland, then moved to head internal affairs, before being promoted to MD, DUAL Deutschland. Annett moved to a pan-European role as COO, DUAL Europe in 2023.

Catherine joined DUAL in January 2024 and is responsible for the pricing and reserving across the UK and Europe. Catherine previously worked as the Chief Risk Officer in MS Amlin’s reinsurance entity based in Switzerland and Bermuda before returning to London to take up the same role at IQUW, a Lloyd’s managing agency.

Sonia has over 19 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined DUAL in 2023. As a member of the European executive team, she is responsible for overseeing the risk and compliance functions across Europe.
Sonia studied Law at the Sorbonne University in Paris and is a qualified lawyer. She began her insurance career with the ACPR (French insurance regulator) in 2005, and later worked at the FFA (French Insurance Association) in 2008. Subsequently, she moved to Luxembourg, where she worked for both life and non-life insurance companies.
Her deep understanding of European insurance regulation and her extensive background in the industry supports DUAL's commitment to maintaining high standards in risk management and compliance.

Martin is a member of the European executive team and oversees the legal function across Europe. He joined DUAL in 2023, after 5 years at the Ardonagh Group and 8 years at international law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright where he specialised in insurance law.

Based in London, in his spare time Martin enjoys reading, cooking, electronic music and sports.

Journalist and communication consultant with over 15 years’ experience, Diana Pastarini joined DUAL Italia in 2014. Responsible for marketing strategy, internal and external communications, media relations, she also manages corporate social responsibility initiatives, volunteering programs and D&I awareness.

In 2022, she was appointed Head of Marketing, DUAL Europe.

Natalia is Head of HR for DUAL Europe, and joined the company in 2023. She holds 18 years of experience in HR across a number of industries, and geographies, with core focus on talent development and rewards areas. Outside work, Natalia trains multi-sport and enjoys time with her family.
